We are a small holding and not only grow our own veg but keep two sanctuary donkeys – Minstrel and Silver – as well as sheep (our Herdwicks will be lambing this Spring), pigs, turkeys and chickens

Feeding, stroking, grooming, learning about the creatures we share this space with is relaxing and enjoyable – even mucking out has its merits!

You are welcome to join in to your level of comfort – just speak to Simon to learn a few secrets of donkey whispering, sheep stroking and turkey tickling.  Kids of all ages love it!

Or simply ignore them all, if you don’t offer them food they will ignore you

Well behaved dogs are free to wander, those you are not so sure of let us know and we will keep our free range chickens in while you put your pet on a lead when in the fields

It’s all very relaxed
